Honestly, Apple can be great if you're plugged into the whole Apple environment or Apple experience. Yet when you're looking for options that were not made by Apple but made to fit your own environment and pocket book best - you may have to deal with the situation being - It is what it is...
This is what it is especially when it comes to wireless charging. Apple iPhones fast charge great with their own wired chargers, yet with wireless chargers - though the same charger can fast charge an Android phone or just about any other NON Apple wireless charging smartphone - with the iPhone or other Apple wireless charging products - life is just not peaches! It is what it is.
Even if the wireless charger charges a non Apple phone at 10Watts or more, place the iPhone on the same charger it limits to 7.5Watts wireless charging which drains your positive expectations as it slowly charges your iPhone at yawn speed. It is what it is.
So you can use our Wireless Charging UV Sterilizing Box to charge your Apple phone while you sleep, without worrying about overcharging it, and just plug it in when you're wake for that extra juice to fill that battery tank up!
Thank you Apple for doing what you're doing to protect your precious environment.
It just is what it is.
At one point in time, we were getting a lot of unhappy customer reaching out to us, especially at the beginning of the Pandemic with the transition to Work From Home. They had their set up fully functional for work, but since they are working from home now, that set up remains hooked up during their down time.
Of course, if you enjoy your TV for entertainment, and with the Lockdown, more people started streaming movies and programs at home, they wanted to be able to watch it over the dock to avoid re-organizing their entire set up to go from work time to home time.
This was a problem in the beginning because the Chipset had not been set for HDCP compliance, so you could watch YouTube, but not YouTube TV, you could watch an illegal torrent site, but not stuff you were paying to view legally like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos and such.
We understand that it upset a lot of people, but there was nothing we could do about it, as we used the chipset in our docking stations, but we didn't manufacture the chipset itself. Also to make just one product compliant to make it too expensive to market as our docking stations are work stations, and it wasn't built with leisure use in mind. The same way we still do not recommend our docking station for gaming - it won't meet the high demands of gaming performance needs.
In fact the docking stations weren't even designed initially with the concept of people using them everyday continuously for video conference calling and such either. The Pandemic changed the face of how customers were using the same product they were purchasing, since instead of leaving it in their office, it was in their homes now.
The good thing is, though it's taken time, we have adapted and keep adapting to meet the needs of our customers, as how current times have changed how our products are used. You change, we change with you.
With the Dual Display feature, if you only need one display for yourself to work with, you can always play something else on the other Display to entertain others at home.
All this to say, yes you can now enjoy your favorite movie on Hulu, Netflix, Disney+ and such over the docking station when your work day is done and all you want to do is sit back, relax and let yourself be taken away by the magical world of movies and broadcast entertainment. Do keep in mind that all the accessories you're using as well, aside from the dock must be HDCP compliant. We don't personally think you're trying to rip a movie, but the Entertainment Industry needs to do what they do to stay alive, and we must comply.
If you're looking for a docking station that'll work for you visit:
Post Note: Please read this Blog with regards to using these Docking Stations with your Smartphones especially Google Pixel
Honestly, we love Google, it's helpful to find information and almost anything else you need.
The Google Pixel phones are pretty neat too! I mean, that mode where you can take pictures of the stars? As someone who loves taking pictures of the sky, that is a beautiful thing to have on a phone.
When it comes to how Google Pixel works with our Docking Stations though, THANK YOU Google! We truly do appreciate your shout out! Honestly, we do appreciate it! We just wished you had added a little more information, which I'll do right here, since that's our responsibility really.
It works great with our DisplayLink USB C Docking Stations if you want a wired connection Google Pixel phone - monitor:
1. To read emails, review websites, just seeing the work you have to do on your phone, on a bigger screen for greater visibility and ease.
2. If you use your phone to create videos and images, and you want to make sure it looks as good on a Display as it does on your phone, while being able to see the changes instantly as you edit to improve the visuals.
3. That work presentation available on your phone to connect and display at a business meeting in case something happened to the laptop, making it unusable at the 11th hour! A reliable back up plan is always great!
4. If you want to watch YouTube or have something else play
You will be severely disappointed though if you want to watch Copy Protected Streaming sites like Hulu, Amazon Prime, NetFlix, YouTube TV, Disney+ and the likes. You will be able to view the site itself, and even the wonderful advertisements, and preview, BUT when you play movie, your ears will still perk with enjoyment of the the video while your eyes will be sourly greeted by a black screen! A perfect experience for the blind, but they wouldn't need the dock for that then. If this is your sole purpose for looking for this dock - DON'T DO IT! We would rather save you the disappointment if we can, because that just comes with the hassle of returns and such which you really have far better things to do with your time than dealing with that on top of being sad.
There's no known fix for this issue available in the market at the moment that is viable for the right price that would make it a worthy investment. I say it that way, as I know there probably IS an existing solution that works - it just cost too much for most companies to invest in for products that are designed as Work Stations, and this feature just happened to be an additional perk, but not the main focus. Thus if there is an existing solution, it's not viably cost effective.
Keep your fingers crossed though. If the solution comes up we will surely let you know!
